A possible terrorism and bomb threat has been averted at a UK military airbase after police were tipped off about suspicious vehicle movements in the area close to the airbase.
Five men have been arrested.
Bomb disposal units were called to the scene to examine the vehicles. Homes in surrounding area have been evacuated.
The airbase, RAF Fairford, in Gloucestershire, is home to the United States Air Force bomber force.
In the latest development, police said that all five men arrested are British nationals and all live in the London area.
