The nationalist first ministers of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have signed an historic co-operation agreement calling for the “right to self-determination” for their nations and for the UK government to “prepare for, plan and facilitate constitutional change in each jurisdiction”.
The SNP’s John Swinney, Plaid Cymru’s Rhun ap Iorwerth and Sinn Fein’s Michelle O’Neill declared that Westminster’s time is coming to an end.
The SNP wants independence for Scotland, Plaid Cymru want the same for Wales while Sinn Fein wants Northern Ireland to be united with the rest of Ireland.
