A new Sectoral Agreement for Allied Assistants

The Ministry for Health together with the United Workers Union – Voice of the Workers have signed a new sectoral agreement for the Allied Assistants employed in the public sector.

The agreement that was signed ensured, among others, an improvement in the career advancement of current and prospective employees, more opportunities for the Allied Assistants to continue their studies, through a new course of MQF Level 5, in order to advance more expeditiously in their career and as well as an increase in allowances.

The agreement was signed by the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry for Health Joseph Chetcuti and the Chief Government Doctor Walter Busuttil on behalf of the Ministry for Health and Josef Vella and Annalise Casha on behalf of the UħM.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health Chris Fearne, who presided over this signing, thanked both parties for the collaboration that led to this agreement while praising the continuous training opportunities mentioned in this  agreement, like others that were signed during this year. He offered his best wishes  to all the Allied Assistants.
