Agreement with the Kana Foundation extended in order to further strengthen the services it offers

The Ministry for Social Policy and Children’s Rights has extended a social agreement that it had with the Kana Foundation, so that they can continue to offer social services to individuals, couples and even families that need support. The aim of this Foundation is to offer therapy sessions to both individuals and families.

Through this social agreement they will be given 2,380 hours a year of counseling services, coaching and even training on positive parenting. This support is provided by a multi-disciplinary team of psychotherapists, counsellors, family therapists, psychologists and even parenting coaches.

These details were announced by the Minister for Social Policy and Children’s Rights Michael Falzon together with the Permanent Secretary Mark Musù and also the management of the Kana Foundation, while they were presiding over the signing of the an agreement.

“Committed to continue giving the necessary support to the families. Through this agreement we see that a therapy service will continue to be offered to both individuals and families, especially when there are children and even teenagers,” stated Minister Michael Falzon.

The Chairman of the Joe Cassar Foundation stressed that the main goal is to help people who are going through a difficult time and even trauma, with this work it is done without any distinction because they believe that every form of family deserves attention and help.
