As is being reported in the news, a Russian tanker named Arctic Metagaz suffered considerable damage following explosions that occurred on board earlier this month. This tanker, which was carrying liquid gas (LNG) between Malta and Libya, is abandoned, without command and is drifting with the currents. Therefore this tanker may pose a danger to Maltese fishermen who may be fishing in its area. In coordination with the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM), we are providing the position of this tanker for the information of fishermen.
