Freephone 1578 launched for older persons

A new Freephone 1578 service has been launched to strengthen communication between the Older Persons Standards Authority (OPSA), older people and their families.

The service, launched by Parliamentary Secretary for Active Ageing Deo Debattista and OPSA CEO George Fenech, will provide a direct way for the public to submit questions, concerns and complaints about services provided in residential homes for older people.

Debattista said the initiative will make OPSA more accessible and ensure that the concerns of older people and their families are heard.

Fenech said the new service will allow the authority to respond to enquiries and complaints more directly and efficiently.

Freephone 1578 will be available during office hours.
