Church schools in Malta and Gozo are leading 24 Erasmus+ projects worth around €1 million

Church schools in Malta and Gozo are leading 24 Erasmus+ projects worth around €1 million, providing learning and mobility opportunities to more than 600 students, teachers and education staff.

The projects are part of 82 Erasmus+ initiatives currently underway in Malta. More than 50 Church schools have benefited from Erasmus+ and other European funding programmes.

European Funds Minister Keith Azzopardi Tanti praised the schools’ commitment to international cooperation, innovation and professional development, noting that 11 Church schools are now accredited under Erasmus+.

The European Union Programmes Agency encouraged more schools to participate, with the next Erasmus+ call expected in February 2027.
