Iran pledges no nuclear weapons as US commits $300bn, leaked deal draft shows

The US-Iran outline deal to end the war would see Iran abandon its pursuit of a nuclear weapon in exchange for financial incentives to comply with the agreement.

The deal, which is believed to have been shown to leaders at the G7 Summit in France, is thought to include the immediate reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, Iran commits to abandon plans for nuclear weapons while the US has agreed to a set of financial incentives including lifting of sanctions and a reconstruction fund worth $300 billion (€258.5bn).
