Police investigation in connection with videos uploaded on social media in recent days, showing dangerous and negligent driving at various roads across Malta, has led to the arrest of two men.
The driver of the vehicle was identified and arrested yesterday evening inside an establishment in St Julian’s, together with the passenger who allegedly filmed and shared the videos using a mobile phone.
The passenger was arrested on the basis of new legal amendments introduced last March, which make it an offence to produce or distribute material showing persons breaching traffic laws with the aim of normalising dangerous driving or encouraging others to do the same.
While investigations are still ongoing, both individuals are expected to be arraigned in Court.
