Tesse names final squad ahead of Haiti friendly

National Woman’s team coach Manuela Tesse has named the final squad of 22 players as the Malta women’s team will face Haiti in a friendly match.

Currently in the 86th place of the FIFA rankings, Malta will face Haiti on July 1st in Switzerland.  Haiti are set to take part in the Women’s world cup competition hosted by Australia and New Zealand kicking off on the 20th of July, a first in the country’s history.  Head Coach, French man Nicolas Delépine was appointed in 2022.  Haiti ranks 53rd in the FIFA rankings.

On the other hand, Malta Women’s team international commitments include participation in the newly launched Women Nations League which gets under way next September.  Malta will be facing Moldova, Latvia and Andorra in Group C.
