The first elderly woman is given the COVID-19 vaccine in St. Vincent de Paul

Mary Pizzuto, a resident of the St. Vincent de Paul Facility, is the first elderly woman in the country to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

Pizzuto is 94 years old and was given the vaccine earlier today in the John Paul II ward of the St. Vincent de Paul Facility.

In a recent comment, the Minister for the Elderly and Active Aging Michael Farrugia thanked all the front- liners who were and still work close to the elderly and the elderly themselves and wished them peace, happiness and above all, health.

In addition to the first senior, today there will be another 40 seniors who will be vaccinated, as well as 15 staff members of the St. Vincent de Paul Residence.
