Preparations for the 2026/27 futsal season continued over the weekend with a Laws of the Game seminar held at the National Sport School in Pembroke.
The seminar attracted a very good attendance, bringing together club officials, coaches and player representatives from both returning and newly registered teams competing across the men’s and women’s competitions.
The session was led by Gjergji Bitri, who took participants through the latest updates to the Laws of the Game, match protocols and the standard interpretations that will apply throughout the upcoming season.Video Support (VS) will also once again be in place during the season, following its introduction into Malta’s domestic futsal competitions last season.
Futsal Malta would like to extend a special thanks to the Malta Football Association for its assistance and collaboration in organising this seminar, as well as for its continued support throughout the year in the organisation of the futsal competitions.With a strong turnout for the seminar and teams continuing their final preparations, everything is taking shape for the start of another season of Maltese futsal.
