A 15-year-old Pakistani youth from Xgħajra has lost his life after finding himself in difficulty while swimming in Xgħajra, ONE News reports.
On Saturday afternoon, at around 4.45am, police, together with a medical team from Mater Dei Hospital were called to the area of the Xgħajra slipway where they found the young man unconscious. He was pulled from the sea by some people who were on the scene and they also began to give him first aid.
The youth was taken to hospital by ambulance for further medical attention but unfortunately, he was certified dead a short time later.
