On Monday evening, H.E. Myriam Spiteri Debono, the President of Malta, inaugurated the Malta Lounge, within the European Youth Centre of the Council of Europe.
The Malta Lounge will continue to equip the European Youth Centre by offering another space within this centre, where young people can meet with the aim of building close relationships among themselves, and discuss ways in which democracy and rights can be strengthened.
All this was emphasised by President Myriam Spiteri Debono in her speech during the inauguration ceremony, where she encouraged young people to be the ones who, with their aspirations and dreams, build a better future.
Among the officials present at the inauguration ceremony was the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Bjørn Berge.
