A social housing project in Bormla, involving an investment of around €21 million, will provide 69 new apartments and 97 parking spaces for vulnerable families.
Minister for Housing and Lands Owen Bonnici visited the site to review progress on the development, which forms part of the Government’s ongoing efforts to increase the availability of social housing and provide families with quality homes offering greater security and stability.
During the visit, Dr Bonnici said the project would create new opportunities for families in need of housing.
He stressed that investment in social housing directly contributes to improving families’ quality of life, adding that the new apartments would offer beneficiaries greater peace of mind and stability.
The development will include apartments with one, two and three bedrooms, alongside approximately 97 parking spaces.
Those present during the visit included Permanent Secretary Ramon Deguara, Malita Chief Executive Marlene Attard, Housing Authority Chairman Robert Ducker, Housing Authority Chief Executive Matthew Zerafa, Bormla Mayor Marco Agius and members of the Bormla Local Council.
The project forms part of ongoing investment in social housing, aimed at providing more quality residential accommodation to meet the needs of vulnerable families and local communities.
