The 2026/27 season heralds a new chapter in the history of Hibernians.
A major change was the take-over by American group Sunday Ventures and the appointment of a new coach Tugberk Tanrivermis from Turkey.
The club signed a raft on new players, the question now is will the restructuring reap rewards. It should be an interesting season for Hibernians who get their campaign off with a tough encounter with Sliema Wanderers. Kick-off 8.30pm at the Tony Bezzina Stadium.
The first match this evening pits last season’s Meridianbet FA Trophy winners Valletta against Zabbar St Patrick, also at the Tony Bezzina Stadium at 6pm.
