A 23-year-old man has been arrested at the Malta International Airport in connection with importation of approximately 1KG of suspected cocaine, with an estimated street value of €125,000.
Following investigations, and through ‘Intelligence-Led Policing’, the man was intercepted upon his arrival on a flight from Barcelona. A search revealed a package taped to his stomach containing the suspected drugs.
He is expected to appear in court later today.
