The US has ended its naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, while Iran has said it will start charging a fee for use of the vital waterway.
President Donald Trump made a show of signing a peace deal at the G7 Summit in France, days before the deal was due to be officially signed in Switzerland on Friday.
The deal, between the US and Iran, is already strained, as Israel launched overnight strikes in Lebanon and the US and Iran are believed to have pulled out of the meeting in Switzerland.
