The Malta International Wine Festival 2026 has been officially launched, to be held at the Argotti Gardens between the 17th and 21st of June. The festival is one of the largest wine-related events in our country and offers a platform for the promotion of viticulture, wine production and gastronomic culture.

During this launch, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Supply Anton Refalo stressed the importance of the wine sector as an integral part of the Maltese agricultural sector and highlighted the contribution of farmers, producers and all operators involved in the production chain.

The Minister said that the festival offers an opportunity for the public to better appreciate the quality of locally produced wines while also discovering international products. He reiterated the Government’s commitment to continue supporting initiatives that promote local produce, strengthen knowledge about viticulture and continue to create added value for the agri-food sector.

During the five days of the festival, visitors will have the opportunity to experience a wide selection of wines from Malta and several other countries, as well as participate in educational activities on wine production, meet producers and enjoy an entertainment and gastronomy programme in a unique setting at the Argotti Gardens.

The organizers explained how the festival will continue to offer an informative, educational and cultural experience that combines the passion for wine with appreciation for the work of all those involved in its production.
