Day four of Election 2026 and Prime Minister Robert Abela announced that workers would receive a yearly €1,000 “super bonus”.
He added that part-time workers with a salary of €12,000 or less would also benefit from a yearly bonus of not less than €500.
Opposition and Nationalist Party Leader Alex Borg, fresh from announcing a further 30% reduction on utility bills, on top of the current energy subsidies, has announced that a Nationalist government would scrap rental charges on electric meters and use solar panel investment to cover the costs.
