PM at European Summit focusing on conflicts close to Europe

Prime Minister Robert Abela has joined European leaders for a two day summit which will be dominated by conflict in the Middle East and Ukraine.

The main focus will be on the conflict in Israel and Gaza, with leaders expected to reinforce calls for more humanitarian aid to be allowed into the Gaza strip and for the release of hostages taken by Hamas on October 7th.

Europe does not want to see an escalation of the Israel-Palestine conflict and will call for restraint and a halt to the fighting.

Ukraine as well be on the agenda with the European Union vowing to continue its support to that country in it’s fight against the Russian invasion.
