President Metsola: EU funds must be more accessible

During a visit to Aurobindo Pharma Malta Ltd, the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola reiterated her commitment to make EU funds more accessible to businesses, especially in Malta and Gozo.
President Metsola said, “The role that companies such as Aurobindo play in our Union is crucial to ensure that citizens receive top-quality products that meet the standards they deserve”. Access to funding was another topic of discussion during President Metsola’s visit, where she mentioned that access to EU funding opportunities is instrumental for companies such as Aurobindo to maximise their potential, and invest in their workforce and in state-of-the-art equipmentShe referred to the company’s expansion of its laboratories focusing on testing of medication used for chemotherapy.

“We all know someone who has been diagnosed with cancer. The fight against cancer is our common fight and the European Parliament is committed to beating this disease, with the final destination being a Europe without cancer.
