Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh chooses Malta as a training centre

One of the largest colleges of surgeons in the world, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, will be working with the Maltese health authorities to make the country a centre for examinations and training for surgeons.

In a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health Chris Fearne, the college, together with the Maltese Association of Surgeons and the Postgraduate Medical Training Centre, expressed their confidence that Malta will be a training centre for hundreds of European surgeons, from the Middle East and North Africa.

The Deputy Prime Minister welcomed this news with positivity, which is a confirmation of the excellent level of surgery in our country, and offered his support for this international initiative.
