Inter’s Eriksen collapses during Denmark-Finland game at Euros

Denmark’s Christian Eriksen collapsed and was taken to hospital during the first half of their Euro match against Finland.

The Inter and former Tottenham player received emergency medical treatment on the pitch before being taken to hospital where he was said to be awake and speaking.

Visibly distressed team-mates formed a circle around Eriksen as he received treatment on the pitch and fans from both nations chanted his name.

Eventually, after a two hour delay and agreement with both teams, the game resumed with Finland going on to win 1-0.

The match however was all about Eirksen, whose life was saved by the quick actions of the medical team.
