Manchester City just about ended Liverpool’s chances of retaining their title with a 4-1 pasting at Anfield.

A lack of inventiveness by the strikers and a woeful comedy of errors by keeper Alisson condemned Liverpool to another home defeat.Gundogan missed a first half penalty but made amends after the break as he fired the visitors in front.

Salah levelled the score from the penalty spot before Gundogan grabbed his second. Then two moments of unexplainable madness by Alisson gifted City easy goal scoring chances which they gladly took.

Manchester City are now ten points above Liverpool and look in unstoppable form.

Liverpool do not go from champions to also-rans but Jurgen Klopp needs inspiration from somewhere and quickly or his side could find themselves even outside a champions league place come the end of the season.
