Prime Minister Boris Johnson and European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen are expected to hold an emergency phone call today in a last ditch attempt to reach an agreement on a trade deal.
Talks in London between the UK and EU chief negotiators had failed to reach any agreement citing “significant divergences on level playing field, governance, and fisheries”.
