Alex Borg of the Nationalist Party (PN) has outlined a series of proposals and pledges focused on Gozo, combining infrastructure investment with employment guarantees.
He said a future PN government would invest in a new hospital in Gozo, aimed at strengthening healthcare services on the island, and introduce a new fleet for the Gozo Channel to improve connectivity between Gozo and Malta.
On employment, Borg pledged that Gozitans who registered with Jobsplus and obtained government jobs—even if recruited after being approached by ministers—would retain their positions under a PN administration. “The PN will guarantee your job,” he said.
He added that the party is committed to creating quality, long-term employment opportunities in Gozo, with the aim of encouraging young people to live and work on the island rather than move elsewhere.
The proposals form part of the PN’s broader pitch to Gozitan voters, focusing on economic development, improved services, and job security.
