Intensive investigations related to the theft of a substantial amount of valuable items that occurred a few days ago from various residences have, in recent hours, led the police to identify two separate groups allegedly involved in these thefts.
The first operation took place on Wednesday in St Paul’s Bay, where two individuals were arrested in connection with a theft from a residence in Swieqi.
The two men were arraigned in court today, where they pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them and were remanded in preventive custody at the Corradino Correctional Facility.
The second operation also took place on wednesday in Żejtun, where the Police arrested two other men in connection with a series of thefts from residences from several localities.
They are expected to be arraigned in court in the coming days.
