US President Donald Trump has issued a stark and terrifying warning that “a whole civilization will die tonight” unless his deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, which expires at 2am Central European time on Wednesday.
Trump however did offer a small window of hope for a peaceful resolution to end the war, suggesting “less radicalised minds” in Iran may “prevail”.
