Civil Protection Malta crews were called a fire in the common area of an apartment block in Marsaskala. Firefighters from Fire Stations 1, 4, and 5 were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Crews found electrical meters engulfed in flames, with several residents stranded on their balconies requiring urgent evacuation.
Firefighters deployed a Turntable Ladder along with the 13.5m ladder to bring to safety those residents trapped on their balconies.
The fire was successfully brought under control, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.
