The Ministry of Justice has issued a public call for two magistrates. This call is being made after two new judges, both of whom were serving as magistrates, were selected in recent days.
This increase builds on the various appointments made to the judiciary in this legislature and which have led to our country continuing to have the largest number of judges and magistrates in history.
Minister for Justice and Construction Sector Reform Jonathan Attard stressed that this increase in the judiciary is clear proof of how much the Government is consistently investing in the justice sector.
“This call for new magistrates will continue to strengthen the Judiciary and complement the legislative work with greater specialization in the Courts of our country. We are committed to continuing to provide the best conditions and administrative support so that we can have justice done within a reasonable time,” stressed Dr Attard.
Those interested should send their application with all documents by no later than Thursday 23rd April, 2026, by 12:00pm to the Secretary of the Judicial Appointments Committee.
