On Friday afternoon Prime Minister Robert Abela had a phone call with the President of the European Council António Costa not only in preparation for the Summit in Brussels later this month but in the context of the war and developments in the Arabian Gulf and the Middle East.
The prime minister told Antonio Costa that Malta’s position remains clear for de-escalation in order to have a peace dialogue.
“What I guarantee is stability in a secure Malta, which is immune to international impacts. The Mediterranean must remain a region in which new prosperity is built,” he emphasized.
