PM Robert Abela calls for national unity as middle east conflict escalates.
Speaking in parliament, Prime Minister Robert Abela stressed that in the wake of such growing violence Malta must remain a constant voice for dialogue.
He confirmed that over 130 citizens in the region have asked for help to leave and said that the Foreign Affairs Ministry has activated a 24-hour helpline and advised citizens in affected areas to remain indoors.
Responding to the prime minister, Nationalist Party Leader Alex Borg told parliament that the Opposition will give government its full support to address the impacts of the Iranian crisis.
