Floriana will be aiming to extend their lead at the top of the Yo Health Malta Premier league when they meet Hibernians this afternoon at the Tony Bezzina Stadium.
Five wins, two draws, Floriana are yet to lose a game in this round of the premiership and on paper look favourite to clinch another three points.
It has been a bit of a roller coaster season for Hibernians, they struggled in the early part of the season, bounced back with a solid BOC Super Cup Final win against Hamrun Spartans but then failed to carry that performance into their next league matches. Against the league leaders they will need to be at their very best.
Also this afternoon, Hamrun take on Marsaxlokk with just a point separating them. With Valletta and Birkirkara both losing on Saturday, a win is a must for the Spartans and Marsaxlokk if they want to stay in touch with Floriana.
