Intensive investigations carried out by Malta Police have led to the arrest of 6 people in connection with alleged usury and money laundering.
An operation carried out on Saturday morning in Marsa resulted in the seizure of thousands of euros in cash, along with other items considered relevant to the ongoing investigation. Around 50 victims have been identified so far.
An inquiry is being led by Magistrate Dr Joe Mifsud LL.D., while police investigations are still ongoing.
