On Friday afternoon, a police officer who was off-duty noticed a man acting suspiciously in Triq il-Kanun, Santa Venera and requested back-up while following him.
The police stopped the man in Triq is-Salib, Marsa, where a search of his vehicle revealed several suspected substances believed to be intended for trafficking: ecstasy pills, cannabis and cocaine sachets, as well as other drug-related paraphernalia. An iron knuckle and a blade were also found.
The man is currently under arrest and is due in court shortly.
