A large fire has broken out near the Addolorata Cemetery near Paola sending a column of black into the sky.
Civil Protection crews are battling the blaze which broke out a a scrapyard near the cemetery.
No injuries have been reported.
Residents nearby have been advised to keep windows closed.
MCAST students have been advised to remain indoors.
