Police traffic checks: 20 drivers without licence

Routine traffic inspections by the Malta Police with the assistance of LESA officials, aimed at ensuring road safety, continued throughout the week.

In Ħaż-Żebbuġ, Ħal Qormi, St Paul’s Bay, Ħal Luqa, Paola, Birżebbuġa, Żejtun, Msida, Ħamrun and Ħal Kirkop, officers found:

• 20 drivers without a valid licence

• 4 drivers under the influence of alcohol

• 24 vehicles exceeding the speed limit

• 150 contraventions related to several traffic violations.
