Following another meeting held late last night between the Ministry for Inclusion and Volunteering and the Malta Autism Centre, an agreement was reached regarding outstanding issues in relation to the Public Social Partnership that the Government has with the same voluntary organisation.
The Government expresses its satisfaction that this situation is being resolved after the Malta Autism Centre presented three important documents that are required in any operation involving minors.
In a sense of goodwill, so that children with disabilities continue to receive subsidized services, as has happened over the last 14 years, the Government is accepting that with immediate effect the process of paying back payments covering between January 2025 and June 2025 will be triggered.
The operator is being given an extension until the end of this year to submit the final administrative material and thus be able to issue the second payment covering the second half of the year.
Meanwhile, discussions will continue that should lead to a new Public Social Partnership for a period of another 3 years.
