Two polls with same outcome: Labour leads Nationalist Party

In the wake of the Nationalist Party’s leadership election victory for Alex Borg, two polls were carried out to gauge the feelings of voters.

A poll by statistician Dr Vincent Marmarà shows strong confidence in Prime Minister and Labour Leader Robert Abela over the Opposition Leader and Nationalist Leader Alex Borg.

The gap between the two leaders is 8.1% which means a gap of around 25,000 votes. The same is true between the parties where the gap is stable at 25,000 where the Labour Party has a trust of 51.7% while the Nationalist Party enjoys a trust of 43.2%.

Among the leaders, Robert Abela is trusted by 42.5% while Alex Borg is trusted by 34.4%.

Maltatoday

The Nationalist Party under Alex Borg has managed to narrow the gap with the Labour Party to three points, or 8,394 votes, Maltatoday’s October survey shows.

This is the first survey since Borg became PN leader last month.

It shows the PL scoring 48.8%, the PN 45.9% and third parties collectively garnering 5.4%.

Prime Minister Robert Abela still enjoys a healthy 13-point lead over Borg on the trust barometer.
