Police arrested a 70-year-old man shortly after he allegedly fired shots at another man in Birgu on Sunday afternoon.
When officers arrived in Birgu after receiving a report that shots had been fired, they found a 33-year-old man with gunshot injuries. A medical team was called to the scene and the man was taken to hospital, where he was certified to be in a serious condition.
Investigations are ongoing.
