The Building and Construction Authority, BCA, together with the Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) and the Paceville Town Centre Management Committee has announced that cleaning work will commence on the site, where the Tanya Flats building in Triq Paceville in St Julian’s collapsed last June.
From today, Wednesday 27th August to Friday 29th August, preparatory work will be carried out for cleaning, while from Monday 1st September the rubble will be transported from the site.
The work will be carried out by experts appointed by the Building and Construction Authority and in collaboration with the Occupational Health and Safety Authority (OHSA), the Malta Tourism Authority (MTA), the Civil Protection Department (CPD), the Paceville Town Centre Management Committee, the Police, and the Architect representing a contractor appointed by the authorities.
During the process all measures will be taken to reduce inconvenience to residents and surrounding businesses, while Transport Malta and LESA officials will be managing traffic in the area.
The hours during which the works will be carried out will be between 09:00 and 23:00.
