A 27-year-old man and woman were apprehended by police with the assistance by members from the Customs Department, after they were caught in possession of around 15KGs of suspected cannabis grass, 3KGs of suspected cocaine as well as hundreds of pink pills suspected to be ecstasy, with street value amounting to around €650,000.
Upon arriving in Malta from Sicily, they were intercepted and searched. Hidden in false compartments at the vehicle’s base and rear, police discovered the packets of drugs.
