A 26-year-old man has been arrested and is expected to appear in the Gozo Court shortly after investigations revealed that he created fake social media profiles to target individuals, including minors, for sexual purposes.
Police have appealed the public to remain vigilant when using social media, avoid sharing personal or sensitive photos with strangers, and report any suspicious behaviour to the Police.
They also encourage anyone who may have experienced similar behaviour or who has information that could assist ongoing investigations to come forward.
