The Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri visited the works being carried out on Triq il-Kbira in Xewkija, which was renovated with a value of around € 200,000. The minister stated that, “In just one month, this road, 280 meters long, has been rebuilt, the new services needed have been done, and now the road has been rebuilt like new ”.
Clint Camilleri said this project involved not only repairing the road surface but rebuilding it so that the tarmac could be given today. He went on to explain that the infrastructural work to repair various roads around Gozo is progressing at a very good pace and roads are being built that have been abandoned for years and with a great need to be repaired and tarmaced.
The Mayor of Xewkija Hubert Saliba thanked Minister Camilleri who, through funding from the Ministry for Gozo, also repaired this road after a few weeks ago Triq Santa Eliżabetta in Xewkija was completed, with a value of € 400,000, which was also rebuilt.
