The Armada LNG Mediterrana, the LNG tanker that is to be used at the new gas-fired power plant in Delimara, has left Singapore. The ship is heading to Sri Lanka before sailing across the Arabian Sea, it will travel up the Suez Canal before heading into the Mediterranean and its destination Malta.

A 65-year-old man from Paola died after he found himself in difficulty while diving in a bay known as Ta' Macca limits of Mellieha. Police say the accident happened at 11am on Sunday. The man was brought ashore by people who were nearby, however he was certified dead on the scene.
