Marsaxlokk romped to a 5-2 win against Floriana.
Rasmus Linden started the ball rolling, firing Marsaxlokk into an early lead before Floriana levelled when Federico Varela fired home a corner after a penalty had been saved by Federico Varela.
Matias Garcia struck on the half hour to restore Marsaxlokk’s lead and Arias took advantage of a rebound to increase that lead.
In the second half Marsaxlokk heaped further misery on Floriana when a video review gave Marsaxlokk a penalty.
Floriana did reduce the deficit through Carlo Zammit but the damage had been done though there was time for another goal, substitute Semir Smajlagic made it 5-2 after a fine solo run at the Floriana defence.
Valletta salvaged a point in their 2-2 draw with Balzan.
Balzan went in front after five minutes through Macula and they doubled their lead after a quarter hour when Awosanya was fouled in the box and fired home the spot kick.
Alex Tanque pulled one back for City just before the break and late in the second half Valletta were level through Roko Prsa.
Three in a row for Sliema Wanderers
Sliema made it three wins in a row with a 3-1 victory against Mosta. Goals from Gustavo Alcino and Nikolaos Karelis gave Sliema a comfortable half time lead. Giancarlo Goncalves pulled one back on the hour but substitute Brian Gambarte made it 3-1 in added time.
