The WTTC Global Summit will be held in Malta between 7 and 9 October 2026
Between 7 and 9 October 2026, Malta will host the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) Global Summit, an event of international importance that brings together global tourism leaders, investors, policymakers and industry experts from around the world.
This continues to build on Malta’s work towards quality, sustainable and future-ready tourism and is a recognition of Malta’s growing position on the international tourism scene and of the trust our country has earned as a competitive, ambitious and forward-looking destination.
Malta will welcome over 200 leaders in the Travel and Tourism sector. The Summit will be an important platform for collaboration, investment and knowledge exchange, while strengthening Malta’s relations with the global tourism community and creating new business and investment opportunities.
Malta will be demonstrating how a destination with a strong heritage and tradition can embrace innovation and technology without losing its authenticity. The human element of hospitality remains at the heart of the tourist experience.
Tourism Minister Jo Etienne Abela said that Malta is not hosting this Summit simply to show what we have in our country, but to show where we want to go. He reiterated that our country’s ambition is to continue to build a quality, sustainable and innovative tourist destination, which creates value for the economy and a better experience for visitors.
“Our vision is clear, we want quality tourism that creates value. This means that we will continue to strengthen investment in infrastructure, connectivity and innovation, we will continue to improve the visitor experience, while protecting what makes Malta unique with our identity, heritage, environment and hospitality. During the WTTC Global Summit, Malta will show not only where it is today, but where it is looking to be tomorrow: a more quality, sustainable, resilient and future-ready destination,” concluded Dr Abela.
