An Indian national convicted of vandalizing vehicles in Swieqi was expelled from Malta this afternoon. The incident dates back to 1 August.
The individual was arraigned in court and, after admitting to the charges brought against him and being sentenced, was also issued with an order for his removal from Malta.
Malta needs people who respect its laws, rules and society. Those who choose to break the law must face the consequences of their actions, Home Affairs Minister Glen Bedingfield said.
