The Labour Party has confirmed Robert Abela as leader, Ian Borg as deputy leader for parliamentary affairs, and Alex Agius Saliba as deputy leader for party affairs, following a vote held during its Extraordinary General Conference.
Robert Abela received 627 votes out of 658 valid votes, that is 95.3%, with 31 members voting against him, 6 abstaining, and 3 votes invalid.
Ian Borg collected 639 votes out of 654 valid votes, that is 97.7%. 15 members voted against him, 12 abstained, and one vote was invalid.
Alex Agius Saliba secured 598 votes in favour out of 653 valid votes, representing 91.6%. 55 members voted against him, 13 abstained, and six votes were invalid.
The General Conference will close on Thursday with speeches by Abela, Borg, Agius Saliba and PL President Alex Sciberras.
